Sofia Reinhardt
Sofia Reinhardt is the founding editor in chief of Weight Loss Pulse. She spent the previous twelve years inside the legacy wellness-magazine ecosystem — most recently as a senior editor on the weight-loss desk at a major US health publication — where she shipped year-end "best apps" rankings, behind-the-paywall research features, and the long-form interview series that defined her byline.
Sofia holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the Columbia Journalism School, where she focused on consumer-health reporting and the ethics of recommendation journalism. She built her career on a single editorial rule: every "best of" judgment in this magazine must be defensible to a friend who is actually losing weight, not to a Google ranking algorithm. Weight Loss Pulse is the publication she always wanted to edit — and the one she would have wanted to read at twenty-eight, when she lost forty pounds and could not find a single outlet that took the practical questions seriously.
Sofia lives in Brooklyn with a long-haired tabby named Foster. She cooks dinner most weeknights, walks an average of 12,400 steps a day, and is the final editorial owner of every recommendation Weight Loss Pulse publishes.
